Vicki has over 20 years’ experience in comms starting as a volunteer at channel 4 in 1998. Since then she went onto launch the UKs first digital channels at Granada Sky Broadcasting and the Cbeebies and CBBC channels at the BBC. Since moving back to Wales Vicki gained government experience both locally and nationally before launching Cowshed in 2014. Putting passion and purpose first, Vicki is steadfast in delivering campaigns for organisations the team believe in and she’s built an extremely talented team to help her do it.
Kate leads the team through the most complex of our campaigns. A multi-award winning mother of two, Kate’s strategic thinking and knowledge of media relations makes sure our campaigns are wide reaching and inspire people to act.
Stacey started her career at Comic Relief where she met Vicki. Cowshed’s first employee, Stacey has delivered some of our most recognisable campaigns, leading on clients including National Adoption Service, Public Health Wales and National Trust.
Dave manages his role as overseer of finance and strategy at Cowshed between his other roles which take him around the globe. A Finance Director with over 20 years’ experience working for FTSE 100 companies, Cowshed are incredibly lucky to have his strategic and global vision to guide them as they grow. Director of Strategy and Insights
Amelia heads up our digital and creative teams and is responsible for strategy, insights, planning and innovation. A MIPA and Google accredited practitioner, Amelia has over 16 years of media planning and buying experience. Her expertise spans multiple sectors - from delivering student campaigns for brands like Apple and Dominos to behaviour change campaigns for Welsh Government and public health.
Aamir was crowned the UK's young journalist of the year in 2019 and has worked at award winning newsrooms in Wales and London. He’s now at cowshed to ensure every campaign produced is of the highest quality, that our media relations is on point and our campaigns get the recognition they deserve.
For a self-professed home-body, Ananya has come from India to Wales and USW’s Fashion Promotion course to Cowshed bringing with her rich knowledge, creative flair and gentle vibes from the eastern shores to help us mindfully design and further our ongoing projects.
Chizi already has a reputation for delivering impactful campaigns from her student politics career. After gaining experience in both the charity and private sector, she brings a fresh perspective and energy to Cowshed. Chizi has strong communication skills, matched with creativity and a real passion to make a difference.
Emilie started her career in recruitment and has joined the world of communications as our Campaign Assistant. Emilie brings with her excellent client experience and is a natural at building strong and lasting relationships. With a Law degree in her back pocket, she combines her analytical approach with a creative flair to think of unique solutions.
Junior Web Developer
Following a number of years managing hotels on the slopes of the French Alps, Harry joined cowshed in March 2021 for a complete change of career direction. Completing a fully immersive bootcamp in all things development, Harry is now ready to throw himself into building accessible and intuitive sites that make an impact. We’re just waiting to see how we can use his ski and French knowledge somewhere too.
Hollie is a creative designer with a real drive for concept driven design. Having numerous years of experience in both print and digital fields, she has brought a wealth of knowledge and skills to the team at Cowshed. Ideas and imagination really are second nature to this creative soul.
Junior Multimedia Producer
Grace is on our internship programme to hone her existing skills and learn lots of new ones including media relations, campaign planning and social media. With work published on ITV Wales, Wales Online and Buzz, Grace's experience in filming and photography is already proving to be invaluable. Her LGBTQ+ photography project continues to be exhibited in St Fagans. So go check it out!
Head of Digital
With over a decade of experience in digital marketing and coming from a background of working both In-house and agency-side, James - or JC as he is fondly known - leads our digital team as an analytical thinker and problem solver, eager to make an impact across all digital offerings from web development to PPC.
Lisa originally hails from Belfast but has spent most of her life living in Wales. A networker and campaigner for organisations including Amnesty International Wales and Macmillan Cancer Support, she's experienced in public affairs and influencing government policy. She spent 10 years working at BBC Wales, mainly on the BAFTA award-winning Capture Wales / Cipolwg ar Gymru, Digital Storytelling Project.
Welsh Language Creative Copywriter
With 15 years’ experience working in the communications industry as a journalist and editor, Llinos is a natural juggler with words, especially through the medium of Welsh. She’s passionate about Welsh and seeing the language thrive on new platforms such as social media and online marketing. Llinos is also a poet with over 30 awards to her name and a mother of four daughters. She’s a professional multitasker and her best work is done when there’s some delicious coffee at hand.
Maris is a bilingual graphic and typographic designer with a love for typography. A passionate, determined and dedicated individual, striving to create meaningful work that generates a positive impact.
Senior Graphic Designer
Nektaria is an award-winning multi-disciplined integrated designer with 6 years’ experience. She recently came to Wales from London and already wishes she had been here all her life. Technically she is fantastic, a natural creative, full of ideas and concepts. She brings a fresh eye to clean, accessible design and a sharp attention to detail.
A seasoned copywriter and creative thinker with more years’ experience than she cares to admit, Rhian is responsible for the words and ideas behind our award-winning campaigns. Despite being an advertising veteran, Rhian still lives for the thrill of watching her concepts becoming fully fledged campaigns and can generally be heard squealing “like a pig” – her own words – when she sees her ads out in the wild.
Head of Editorial
Ruth likes words. The former national newspaper journalist joins the team as Head of Editorial. With more than 10 years' experience working in hectic newsrooms in London and Wales, Ruth is passionate about writing stories that make a big difference to the world. Ruth will oversee Cowshed's content and copy - making sure that our campaigns stand out.
With almost 10 years’ experience managing local, national and international integrated arts and culture campaigns, Rhian has a true passion for delivering work that connects, drives change and matters. With two small children and a rowdy Labrador to contend with, Rhian is a skilled multitasker and is dedicated to ensuring her work is delivered to the highest standard every time.
Seran first joined Cowshed in 2017 for work experience during a summer when she was at Edinburgh University, and fell in love with all things PR. Since graduating, she’s worked at Swansea Bay University Health Board as a Communications Assistant, providing support on campaigns and content creation, but now she’s back in the Shed! A first language Welsh speaker, Seran is passionate about delivering meaningful campaigns for our clients in both English and Welsh.
Tom is an award-winning designer with 15 years' experience across in-house, agency and freelance in locations around the UK. He's worked with a huge range of clients in that time, including Mattel, The United Nations and VSO International. From concept to delivery, Tom loves to bring a 'bigger picture' approach to projects and still gets a kick out of seeing his ideas out in the wild, especially when they provoke conversation.
